What's Unshakable...

Imagine a place that is completely familiar to you. A place where, every smell is familiar, every thing you see is recognizable, everything you do is just as usual, so much so, that its muscle memory. Your normal has become so predictable and certain. Everything around you is within your control.

I have found that I see many places in my life as if I can and am in control. Where everything is familiar, normal, certain and recognizable. But I am finding that I am not as in control as I believed I was.

When the things that I thought I was controlling are all of a sudden shaking, how do I respond? When things that I thought were stable begin to quake, how do I choose to view God? I have seen so many around me choose to question God in the silence of quarantine. I have seen many choose to question God’s goodness in the face of social injustice.

The Disciples found themselves in a similar situation. In Mark 4:35-41, the Disciples were in their element traveling by boat. Here they were the most experienced fisherman. They were the experts, and they were the most in control. But when a storm came that scared even the most experienced of sea men they first questioned Jesus’ goodness. “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”(v. 38).

During this time in our world, I have come to value truth and dependence on God more and more. When I see those sick around me, will I choose to believe He is a good Father who will take care of us all? When I see social injustices happening around me, will I choose to remember all the promises and goodness of God? I have seen, in the spiritual, those who have put on the belt of truth. And no matter what comes their way they are held together with truth.

I want to put my hope into something more stable. I want to put my trust into the one that is never shaken. I want to be held together not with right opinions but with truth.

There is still time to partner with us in the completion and in filling our new building. Friday, June 12th, the building became officially ours. Papers were signed and the few remaining pieces of construction equipment were hauled away. Monday, June 15th, was our move in day! We are getting so close to having the building paid in full just $92,000 away from being debt free.

Open House will be scheduled soon!!!

I would love for you all to come see what God is doing in Conway! Follow us on Social Media to get updates and dates!

I pray you and your families are safe and healthy. I hope this season has been filled with thanksgiving in your hearts. I have prayed that we, in our own communities, would be more neighborly and reach out to those around us. I pray that the “peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7

I would not want to do this without such a wonderful support team! Thank you for your support! I am praying for each of you.
